===== Overview =====

The Live Scoreboard is a web page that displays your match score, goal scorers, cards, substitutions, and full game log in real time. Anyone with the link can follow along on their phone, tablet, or computer.

===== How to Use =====

==== Before the Match ====

  - Open **Touchline** and tap **Start Match** (or the pregame setup screen)
  - Toggle **Live Scoreboard** on
  - A shareable link is generated immediately
  - Tap **Share Link** to send it via text, email, group chat, AirDrop, or any share method
  - Share the link with parents, family, and fans before kickoff

==== During the Match ====

  - Track the match normally in Touchline — log goals, cards, substitutions, game events
  - Every event automatically pushes to the live scoreboard
  - Viewers see updates within seconds
  - The game clock ticks in real time on the web page
  - When you pause the clock, it pauses on the scoreboard too

==== After the Match ====

  - When you save the match, the scoreboard is automatically marked as FINAL
  - The FINAL badge replaces the LIVE indicator
  - The scoreboard remains accessible at the same link for anyone who wants to check the result

===== What Viewers See =====

The live scoreboard page shows:

  * **Score** — Large, clear score display with team names and logos
  * **Status** — LIVE badge (pulsing red) during play, FINAL badge (gold) when complete
  * **Period** — Current period (1st Half, 2nd Half, etc.) shown during live play
  * **Clock** — Ticking game clock that runs locally between server updates
  * **Goal Scorers** — Player name, number, and minute for each goal
  * **Cards** — Yellow and red cards with player name and minute
  * **Match Feed** — Collapsible game log showing every event in reverse chronological order
  * **Match Date** — The date of the match
  * **Last Updated** — How recently the scoreboard received an update

===== Requirements =====

  * **Premium subscription** — Live Scoreboard is part of Touchline Mode
  * **Internet connection** on the tracking device — the scoreboard needs a connection to push updates. If you lose connectivity during the match, updates will resume when the connection returns.
  * **No internet needed for viewers** beyond loading the page — once loaded, the page receives updates via real-time subscription

===== Tips =====

  * **Share the link before kickoff** — the URL is generated as soon as you toggle Live Scoreboard on, so you can send it to your parent group chat during warmups
  * **The link is unique per match** — each match gets its own URL, so old links won't show new match data
  * **Works on any device** — the page is responsive and works on phones, tablets, and desktops
  * **Dark theme** — the scoreboard uses a dark ESPN-style theme that's easy to read in bright sunlight or at night
